As our Manager, you will provide leadership for the daily operations for the SPD Department. You will ensure the maintenance and quality sterilization procedures and accurate record keeping of these procedures. You actions will assure adequate instrumentation functionality and availability for surgical services and various other areas of the hospital.Your duties and responsibilities may include: You will model responsibility and accountabilityYou will provide instruction and direction to the teamYou will handle upset customers and communicate with other departments as neededYou will perform quality control and continually evaluates work process and productivityYou will ensure clear communications to the team such as clarifying roles and responsibilities of team membersYou will assess and suggest procedural changes to help attaindepartmental goals You will involve your team in team decisions and actionsYou will assist the Director in maintaining and monitoring the budgetWhat qualifications you will need:High School diploma or equivalent (GED)3-5years’ experience in SPD (Sterile Processing Distribution), 2-3 years’ experience as Sterile Processing Supervisor or aboveCurrent CS/SPD certification with either the CBSSPD or the IAHCSMM.Must be able to lift and or carry 50 poundsHCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital is a 350-bed facility offering a range of services.
